China vows to extend all possible assistance to Pakistan amid Covid19 challenge.

Ambassador of China Yao Jing made this pledge during a meeting with adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh in Islamabad on Tuesday.

China vows to extend all possible assistance

The Ambassador expressed chinese government’s pledge.

He said China would extend all possible assistance to Pakistan to further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries and to deal with the Coronavirus related situation.

The two countries agreed to enhance mutual cooperation and partnership in various sectors of the economy.

The Finance Adviser thanked the Chinese government for providing medical treatment to corona-hit patients and medical equipment to Pakistan to deal with the situation.

Earlier, Covid19 claimed 78 more lives during last 24 hours raising death toll to 1621. 

However, 27,110 patients have so far recovered from the virus.

As per official figures, the death toll now stands at 1,621.

As many as 78 deaths reported during the last twenty-four hours.

Meanwhile, confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan soared to 76,398

The emergence of 3,938 new infections over the last twenty-four hours has taken the nationwide tally of coronavirus to 76,398.

27,850 cases detected in Punjab so far, 29,647 in Sindh, 10,485 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4,514 in Balochistan, 2,893 in Islamabad, 738 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 271 in Azad Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill has urged the opposition parties to take unified stance to successfully fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
