United States demands investigation on Arshad Sharif’s death

The United States strongly condemns and expressed condolences over the brutal killing of senior journalist Arshad Sharif and demands investigation from Kenya

US State Department spokesperson, Ned Price said, the world is aware of the work of Arshad Sharif, complete information of Arshad Sharif’s death had not come to light as yet.

Ned price also asked the authorities of Pakistan to fulfill the commitments on freedom of speech and demanded complete investigation from Kenya.

“Deeply saddened by death of Arshad Sharif. We encourage a full investigation by the Govt of Kenya into his death. It’s not entirely clear that we know all the circumstances at this point regarding what led to his death, but we do urge a full investigation”, said the United States, spokesperson.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held telephonic conversation with Kenyan President William Ruto and discussed the incident of Arshad Sharif’s murder. The Kenyan president promised to submit an investigation report on the incident soon.
